To use PSL in a MAC OS, you must manually configure the printer driver for color/mono printing.
Install the PSL PC Agent and complete the printer driver setup following the instructions below.
1. In the browser’s address bar, enter the server IP as shown below.
(For the server IP address, please contact your company’s administrator)
- https://Server IP:3333 (HTTPS is required)
ex. https://123.4.5.678:3333
2. Click on 'Advanced', then click on 'Proceed to Server IP (unsafe)'.
3. On the PSL Admin Page that opens, click on PC Agent Download in the bottom right corner.
4. Download the version that matches your operating system.
- For Windows users: Download WINDOWS PC Agent
- For Mac users: Download MAC PC Agent
5. Extract the downloaded file and navigate to the ‘PSL-PC-agent-mac’ folder.
6. Install the ‘Samsung-printer-essentials-SE-1_1_3_5.pkg’ file, then install the ‘PSL PC Agent_0.1.9.dmg’ file.
7. Once the installation is complete, PSL PC Agent will launch, and you can log in by entering the ID/PW/IP address.
7-1. If the PSL PC Agent does not open and shows the message "cannot be opened because the developer cannot be verified", please [Control+click] the PSL PC Agent and then click [Open].
8. Go to [System Settings] – [Printers & Scanners] – [Add Printer, Scanner, or Fax].
9. To add the Mono printer driver:
- a. Click [IP], and input/select the following for [Address], [Protocol], and [Name].
- b. Click the [Select Software] button under [Use] and choose Samsung K6350.
- Address: localhost:14122
- Protocol: HP Jetdirect - Socket
- Name: [Mono]PSL (Can be customized with any name)
- Use: Select Software -> Samsung K6350
10. Without waiting for the device setup to complete, click [Configure] and then [OK].
11. To add the Color printer driver:
- Click [IP], and input/select the following for [Address], [Protocol], and [Name].
- Then, click the [Select Software] button under [Use] and choose the printer model in use.
- Address: localhost:14123
- Protocol: HP Jetdirect - Socket
- Name: [Color]PSL (Can be customized with any name)
- Use: Select Software -> Choose the printer model in use (contact your company's administrator)
12. If a ‘Setting up...’ window appears, click [Continue].
13. Without waiting for the device setup to complete, click [Configure] and then [OK].
For the MAC version of the PSL PC Agent, the drivers must be configured separately
for color and mono as described above.
When printing, please select the color driver for color prints and the mono driver for black-and-white prints.
